Homefront: The Revolution has not had an easy time getting through development. The Homefront IP was originally held by THQ, when they went bankrupt Crytek bought it and when they got into financial difficulty Deep Silver stepped in to save the game. Today, at Microsoft’s Gamescom press conference, a new trailer was revealed for the game.
Some gameplay footage was also shown that featured familiar elements from the first game. There were vehicles, drone vehicles and lots of gunplay to take control of an area. What was new was the customisable nature of the guns and the greater sense of working with a team.
Homefront: The Revolution is due for release sometime in 2016
