Halo 5: Guardians will be introducing microtransactions in the form of the Requisition System (REQ). REQ is a card system to both be used and earned in multiplayer. They are arranged according to commonality as well as their permanents. One time use cards can be used to summon a Warthog or another special weapon. While more permanent cards are weapon skins and armors to personalize your Spartan. These cards will be purchased in 3 types packs(Bronze, Silver, and Gold) using Requisitions Points(RP) that are earned in matches based on accommodation and amount of time played. 343’s goal is for you to earn enough RP to buy a new pack every other match. They will also allow you to purchase Silver and Gold packs for $1.99 and $2.99. If you buy the Limited Edition, Limited Collectors Edition, or the Limited Edition Console bundle you also receive the Warzone REQ Bundle that will give you two Premium packs each week for seven weeks. If you have not purchased any of those additions of the game or your seven weeks have run out you can always buy an additional seven weeks of the Warzone REQ Bundle for $24.99. 1000 REQ cards will be available at launch on October 27th with more coming as content updates. Remember, a portion of the proceeds will go towards the Halo World Championship and will also be used to support the free maps that will be released post launch.
