Playtonic and Team17 will be showing off Yooka-Laylee for the first time at this year’s E3, and today the studio released a brand new trailer for the title, showing off all sorts of gameplay and locales that player can expect in the game.
In addition, the studio announced that Yooka-Laylee will be delayed to Q1 2017 from its initial October 2016 window.
“After a lot of soul searching and knowing through dialogue with our fans that they value quality and polish above all, we’ve made the difficult decision to lock the release of Yooka-Laylee to Q1 2017,” said Gavin Price, the Creative Director and MD of Playtonic. “While we felt confident we could ship the game in October as originally planned, the team has decided that it would like to add a few extra months’ polish to our schedule. Ultimately, this will allow us to release a better game to the thousands of fans who’ve supported us throughout development.”
We will keep you updated with all new information about Yooka-Laylee as we find out more on the title.
