After numerous rumors sprouted earlier this year, Microsoft confirmed the existence of its upcoming system ‘Project Scorpio’ at the end of its E3 2016 presentation back in June.
The company described it as being “the most powerful console ever”, claiming that it’s exactly what developers need to achieve high-fidelity visuals. Despite it being so powerful, Microsoft made sure to emphasize the fact that the system would not be a direct replacement to the existing Xbox One family, but rather an addition. It looks like Microsoft is serious about that.
At a recent Press Showing during Gamescom, Aaron Greenberg, Xbox’s Marketing Manager, confirmed that all Xbox One Accessories will be compatible with the upcoming Project Scorpio system. He didn’t go into too much detail about what exactly this all entails, but it would be logical to conclude that he was referring to items like controllers, Kinect, and other peripherals that have been introduced over the past few years.
