As you all know, you will find “offensive” people online at some point, especially if you go on a site that talks about video games.
This is the story of Raul Rubio, creative director of Rime, an upcoming game made by the Spanish Studio Tequilla Works. Rubio claims that one time he was reading posts about his game on Neogaf and the “mean” comments were so bad and hurtful that he cried for 2 days straight. Mr. Raul himself said that if he had read those comments at the earlier stages of the game, he would’ve canceled it.
What made Rubio snap so badly? The director said that he read a compilation of comments made since the announcing of the game (over 3 years worth of comments) and how people criticized the looks of the game and how some claimed that the reveal trailer was just CG and not in-game footage, going as far as calling him and the team “scammers” for showing fake gameplay.
